HAITI EARTHQUAKE APPEAL
My Dear Friends:
SIAEA wants to join hands with millions of people around the globe who have come forward to help people of Haiti during their difficult time. Many of your SIAEA Executive Committee members have already taken the lead in personally donating to the Haiti earthquake relief effort. We encourage everyone to make a donation, no matter how small, to the numerous organizations making a difference on the ground in Haiti.
Some suggested organizations include:
• Doctors Without Borders - http://doctorswithoutborders.org/
o an international association of doctors and journalists that provide aid in numerous nations
in need.
• Partners in Health - http://www.standwithhaiti.org/haiti
o an organization that has worked on the ground in Haiti for over 20 years.
The American Red Cross and UNICEF are accepting donations via text message. Text
• “HAITI” to 90999 (American Red Cross) or
• “UNICEF” to 20222 (UNICEF)
to make a $10.00 donation to the Haiti relief fund. One hundred percent of your donation will go to the relief fund.
Every hour, people in Haiti are fighting to save lives, locate their missing loved ones and provide food for their families. By pooling our individual resources together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters in Haiti.
